1. Do you like talking on the phone? Why or why not?
   Sure, depends on the person tho! 😉
2. Who is the last person you talked to on the phone?
   Umm…. Kevin at work today.
3. About how many telephones do you have at home?
   I don’t use the phone at home, only my cell but there are tons of phones around here.
4. Have you encountered anyone who has really bad phone manners? What happened?
   Yes, the last guy I dated. He would always say he’d call “that night” and then wouldn’t. I got sick of it.
5. Would you rather pick up the phone and call someone or write them an e-mail or a letter? Why or why not?
   Email works fine. It’s good for keeping in touch with my friends and family that live far away, but the phone is much better for immediate planning. My ex used to email me to ask if I wanted to have dinner — at 11pm at night!

   Breathless, by the Corrs… or maybe something in the car….
2. What were the last two movies you saw?
   Sweet Home Alabama — watched that today
   The Recruit — went to see it, it was AWESOME. Colin Farrell is HOT!
3. What were the last three things you purchased?
   Lots of food to eat after having my wisdom teeth out tomorrow.
4. What four things do you need to do this weekend?
   Since it’s Sunday, I’ll list four things I needed to do and accomplished:

• Took the dogs to Lake Elkhorn for a walk
• Worked with Bailey on his obedience training — we worked on sit, stay, down, and shake
• Bought yogurt and ice cream (see question 3)
• Turned my hair blonde =)

Man arrested over peace T-shirt (note from the future: the link doesn’t work anymore)

A man was charged with trespassing in a mall after he refused to take off a T-shirt that said “Peace on Earth” and “Give peace a chance.”

What is our country, which was founded on civil rights and liberty, coming to? I cannot believe that someone was arrested for wearing a pro-peace shirt. And now they say he was arrested “for not leaving the mall” — which is bogus. Wasn’t he asked to leave because he wouldn’t remove his shirt. It all comes down to the same thing — they didn’t like his shirt or his message and they were trying to censor it.

I really hope that the judge that gets this case throws it right out the door.

The puppies and I went to the lake today. It was finally sunny and slightly above freezing (40+ woo hoo).

Bailey is “aggressive” according to our puppy class instructor. Bailey had his first class at Petsmart this past thursday. It was not a pleasant experience. He was scared and he growled a little. No biggie, but she blew it way out of proportion. She even managed to say “this is why puppy socialization is so important – otherwise you end up with a dog like Bailey.” I don’t think she meant to be rude and once I explained that he was a rescue she was much more understanding and did point out that his “aggression” is not at all my fault.

So Friday we went back to Petsmart. We needed a new leash and a seatbelt. (Having a dog laying on your arm and blocking the gear shift does not make driving fun or easy.) I think he might be afraid of Petsmart because that’s where the rescue used to take him every weekend to find him a home.

Saturday we went to Heather’s to play with Colby, who is also in our puppy class. That actually went very well. They were playing and getting along much better than they did in class.

Today was the excursion to the lake. All the snow is finally starting to melt. Poor Comet fell in a puddle. He’s had a bath now and looks all handsome again.

All in all, I think Bailey is going to do fine in puppy class. He was friendly with both adults and children at the lake today, he didn’t bark at everyone like he does here at home. He was still a little scared around other dogs, but everyone at the lake is anal. No one there lets their dogs socialize. I’m not sure if it’s because they’re afraid of how their dog might act or of how my dog might act. I guess all we can do is keep going to class and having play dates with Colby.
