Mode of Transport

Typical modes of transportation like cars and bicycles are boring and dull. While I love traveling, the transportation part of getting from A to B is typically annoying, complicated, and slow.

I don’t mind planes, but again, B-O-R-I-N-G! Kayaks and other water transportation are fun, though. I love being on or near the ocean!

If this is transportation for fun–I’d much rather ride a flying unicorn or perhaps some of the cool transports from Harry Potter, such as brooms, flying cars, hippogriffs, and centaurs.

Today’s art is a girl riding a flying unicorn, kawaii style.

Today’s #Bloganuary prompt: What is your preferred mode of travel?

A billion $$$$$$$$$$

If I had a billion dollars I would:

  • Retire.
  • Donate to animal rescue.
  • Take care of my family.
  • Help my friends if they need or want help.
  • Party! 🥂

Today’s art is an Andy Warhol style painting of a female Maltese dog with a billion dollars.

Today’s #Bloganuary prompt: If you had a billion US dollars, how would you spend it?

Chores. Ugh.

I hate chores. They are so mundane and boring.

Most challenging? Can I say ALL of them?

I don’t particularly enjoy doing the dishes. I have tried to motivate myself and set a standard that dishes get washed or put in the dish washer immediately, and I will do alright with this for a few days or maybe even a week. Until. Until the dishwasher is full. Until I do some fancy cooking and get 8390483 things dirty.

I’m also not a fan of cleaning up animal poop. The Litter Robot automated litter box is worth every penny. There’s still the dogs’ poop, but… we manage.

If I had three wishes, I might just use one of them to wish to never have to do chores again.

Today’s art is “A girl who doesn’t want to do chores in the style of Joan Miro.”

Today’s #Bloganuary Prompt: What chore do you find the most challenging to do?

Success is…

From Oxford Languages, by way of Google:

suc·cess /səkˈses/ noun: success; plural noun: successes

  1. the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.
“there is a thin line between success and failure”
    • the attainment of fame, wealth, or social status.
“her success owed more to hard work than luck”
    • a person or thing that achieves desired aims or attains fame, wealth, etc.
“overall the fair was a great success”
  2. ARCHAIC the good or bad outcome of an undertaking.
“the good or ill success of their maritime enterprises”

If I had to pick a definition, I’d go with the first one—the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.

Uninspired by today’s prompt, I had more fun crafting the featured image for this post using Dall•E. I asked for a princess on the flag pole next to the castle at the end of a level from Super Mario Bros. I don’t think it nailed it, and the princess is certainly a bit funky looking… but it will do!
