Friday 5 – “Un_____able”

Late again! This one is really late… so I might skip posting for Saturday.

  1. What’s a movie you once liked but is now unwatchable? Honestly, most of the movies I loved, I still love. However, I will say that I struggled to watch Willow as an adult
  2. What’s a song you once liked but is now unlistenable? I went through a period where I listened to things like Slayer and Suicidal Tendencies. Happily, that period ended, and I’m not really into hardcore music like that anymore.
  3. What’s a book you once liked but is now unreadable? oh, this is tough. I’ve read so many books. And so few that I read more than once. Maybe Mute by Piers Anthony? Although, I’m not sure I really liked it the first time I read it, back in high school.
  4. What’s something you once found unbelievable but whose truth is now undeniable? It’s ok to fail. You aren’t going to have many successes in life without a lot of failures first. Few things that really matter succeed on the first try.
  5. What’s something you once found tasty but is now unpalatable? Hamburgers, meat in general. Becoming a vegetarian was one of the easiest hard things I’ve ever done.

Friday 5 – “Grace”

The questions this week require more thinking than previous weeks! Usually, I just write in the first thing that comes to mind for these, however, nothing is popping into my head…

  1. When most recently did someone show you unexpected courtesy? My next-door neighbor fixed our fence when a section fell over. He came by and left a note too, he didn’t want me to come home and find him unexpectedly in my yard with the fence down. The next neighbor over frequently returns my trash and recycling bins from the curb to up next to my fence.
  2. What were you most recently forgiven for? I don’t know and this is going to drive me nuts. Maybe Indy forgives me for his terrible, terrible haircut?
  3. What did someone most recently buy for you? Robin got me a life-size Dwayne Johnson for my birthday, so I wouldn’t be home alone. I also got a very cute box of succulents from Flora.
  4. What did someone most recently make for you? Hmm, my mom and her husband made me dinner back in March. Flora’s friend made the succulent box.
  5. Who could you probably be a bit nicer to? Myself.

Day 61 – Friday 5 “sands”

1 When did you last feel sand between your toes?  In March, during my New Zealand vacation. I miss the beach!

2 When did you last have a sandwich?  Umm, I don’t eat a lot of sandwiches, but probably a few months back when we ordered from Ike’s at work. They have amazing vegan “chicken/turkey” subs.

3 What kinds of sandals do you own?  I own too many shoes. Flip flops, gladiators, I have lot of sandals because a) I hate socks and b) I live in California.

4 How trustworthy has the Sandman been these days?  Not too bad. I recently realized that my trouble sleeping is probably from sleeping too much. With no commute and no gym to go to, I’ve been getting up later but going to bed at the same time, I’ve been struggling with falling asleep and I think it’s just literally because I’m not tired.

5 What do you know about San Diego?  It’s a beautiful town in Southern California, there’s a mission there (?), Balboa Park, the Globe Theatre, the gaslight district, the Zoo… isn’t sea world near by? Oh and the Chargers, are they still in San Diego?

Day 54 – Friday 5

  1. What instrument in an orchestra would you least like to play professionally? Tuba, definitely tuba. Isn’t that what the fat kid plays?
  2. How long would it take you to find a rubber band wherever you are now? 1 ms, there’s two on my lumbar support pillow and one on my wrist (if you consider an elastic hair tie = rubber band)
  3. In your area, what’s the name of a local band you like? Spazmatics. I’m a little bummed that I missed Homaeggedon 8 tonight. Also, Daze on the Green (OF COURSE!!!!!)
  4. How good was your high school band? meh.
  5. Of bands whose names are listed like Joan Jett and the Blackhearts or Neil Young and Crazy Horse, who’s got the best name? Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, ovi.
